Buying Likes for Social Networking Media

Buying Likes for Social Networking Media - is not what to do on social networking media!

This my perception of the situation – the Exercise of “Buying Likes” this goes against everything that Social Networking Media is about – and actually more harm is done to a Brand Image and Brand Reputation of the respective client’s image but also the Brand Image and Brand Reputation of the organization conducting these behaviours when it is becomes apparent of what transpired – and yes social networking is about “likes” but it is also about interaction, and engagement.  



“Buying Likes” indicates to me that;

1.      Individuals within the Brand / Organization or the Agency itself does not believe in the value adds of the product and/or service of the Brand/Organization.

2.      If a certain Marketing Strategy is being implemented there would tons of likes but few if any comments – has anything being learnt or anything going to be implemented into Strategy, Processes, and Procedure via that Marketing Strategy?

Social Networking Media is a platform and if “likes” are bought or acquired by Financial Means is there going to be an impact on the revenue generated? I think not as the Brand/Organization will stay stagnate in the circle of evolving organizations and brands in the 21st century as a result the situation of a disconnect (between the individual customer and the Brand and the Organization) would surely arise,
