Marketing Ice to” Eskimos”

Individuals often say in Sales “Can you sell ice to an Eskimo” and so an indirectly question the asked from a Digital Marketing, Advertising, and Marketing Perspectives is” Can you draw up a Marketing, Digital Marketing, Advertising Plan for this.
I am passionate about Marketing, Digital Marketing, Strategy, Innovation and Corporate Entrepreneurship, and I aspire to be the Leader in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Strategy and Innovation, and Corporate Entrepreneurship in Durban, then in S.A and then the World.
So to answer the question above my answer would be No – because there is no value added to the Eskimo’s daily life and doesn’t benefit the organization and the Eskimo in the Medium to Long Term, I would export the ice to a Climate Zone which is Humid - because the organization and I would add more value to daily individual lives and abundant advantages (Strategic and Competitive) and opportunities will be attained this way.



The basic outlook will look like this;
Scenario: Marketing, Advertising Ice to Eskimos
Product: Ice
Individual Target Market: The” Eskimos”
Concerns: Free Resource (Accessibility) Availability (All Around) and then the Pricing, Competition,   Short Term Profits vs. Medium and Long Term Exposure (Risk)  
In the 21st Century in the Informational Age – the “Eskimos” will talk, engage, and interact, and then the” Eskimos” will be enraged, when the situation unfolds. And with the Social Networking Media – if you do “market the ice to the Eskimo” imagine what would be the situation when they find out what you are actually marketing to them – and with Social Networking Media – the message would spread faster than smoke signals and the message more rapidly than a raging ocean, and that is the influence, power and the magnitude of Digital Marketing and Social Networking Media has created. 
To be involved in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Advertising, and Communications – know whom the individuals that you are engaging, interaction, communicating with, the message that is perceived in regards to your Brand and Organization, understanding the value added in that individual investing to acquire your product and service,
I focus on what Brands/Organization need – which is why I have designed;
·        Brand Motion Interact – an individual customer retention strategy for Brands and Organizations that has a need to be more customer/client centric via an internal means.
·        The Authentic System – For Brands and Organizations especially for Financial Institutions (Banks) but the strategy could be adapted to promote and enhance the online security to your clients.
