Saturday –
The 25th of May 2013
The day that I was waiting for since the 18th of
September 2012 had arrived on the day the 25th of May 2013 – it was
a Saturday, the prestige, the passion, and the belief is always clearly visible
and the spirit is encapsulated for current and future generations.
I love
sports especially Cricket, Rugby, and Soccer (known as Football in some parts
of the world) – I have respect for most individual athletes, and I do have
respect for the individuals whom are part and parcel of a team,
The Event is the UEFA
Champion League – the 25th of
May 2013 was the Final in Wembley, between Bayern Munich and Borussia
Dortmund
The Closing Ceremony was spectacular visual display;
Imagine this;

Setting was a Battlefield

The Outline was two
fractions each dress in the colours of Bayern
Munich and Borussia Dortmund engaging
on the Battlefield,
With the mood and tone set for an epic encounter between the
rivals in the Bundesliga,
The UEFA Champion League is sponsored by Heineken,

Both teams are victorious in their own right;
Borussia
Dortmund (group
stage winners in an extremely strong group, and showed much pride and passion,
they showed their individual skills within a team environment, and made other
individuals believe, - I think this team is good – Yes Borussia Dortmund might have lost, but their journey is an epic
story and they have yet-to-win.)
Bayern
Munich (the eventual winners of the
tournament, played exceptional soccer, the coordination, the belief and the
pride that was showcased was exhilarating, last year’s runners up on a mission
and with the vision to prove a point, and to provide their current coach who is
departing with a legendary trophy.)
The match
was an attacking encounter which both goalkeepers need to pull-off match
winning saves at times.
So you
might be wonder – what on earth is going on this is a Marketing, Digital
Marketing, Strategy, Innovation, Corporate Entrepreneurship blog?And now we are
getting soccer commentary, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Strategy, Innovation
and Corporate Entrepreneurship is always around us,
Well my
Blog-stars, my Blog-staress, my Digital-stars and my Digital-staress, there is
a correlation between Sports and Business – yes Brands do sponsor Teams, and
Events, there is an investment on the Brand’s side to drive passion,
interaction and engagement and set about via communication in regards to that
Sporting team/Event and as well as the Brand as an Organization,

The “Ceremonies”
(Opening/Closing); The manner in which the advertisements, content,
and strategy is leveraged, there is a difference between the Opening and
Closing Ceremony

The “field”
is; Is the process when the individual
(current, or potential client) interacts, engages with you as a Brand, and there
are other Brands interacting and engaging,’

The “Players”
are; The individuals in the Brand that have direct contact to the
customers, and influence the perception, and the message in regards to the
Brand.

The “Coaching
and Management Internal Stakeholders”(i.e. from the Staff and to Senior
Members) are; The
individual generally in the brand that are the ones whom have some or don’t
have direct contact accountable for the
performance, results, appointments,

The “Fans”
are; Current and potential individual
customers/clients
·
The “Referees
and Match Officials” are; The decrees and guidelines that govern
that industry and therefore you as a Brand as an Organizations
And that is how a Brand would acquire a loyal and passionate individualfollowing
as the Brand/Organization interacts, and engages in a manner that places
emphasis on engagement, interaction that adds and delivers value to the
individual whom is;

That would
be the greatest goal (pun extremely intended), a magnificent try, awe-inspiring
podium finish.

Thoughts, The Thoughts influence the Action, and consequently you as an
individual.

to Bayern Munich on being the Kings
of Europe. Well done to Borussia
Dortmund on playing well and far-surpassing expectations and keep dreaming
