In Social Media Networking Platform news
I have viewed;
·         LinkedIn has now enabled tagging/mentioning
There are more changes to be expected in the Social Networking Media Platform
I have heard;
Twitter –On April 30th, Twitter announced that advertising would finally be available to all users through the launch of its new, self-service ad platform. Previously, advertisers had to be invited to use Twitter ads -- and spend a minimum amount of money per quarter – via the full-service platform.  This functionality is currently only available in the U.S (check out http://advertising.twitter.com/2013/04/Twitter-Ads-now-generally-available-for-US-users.html for more) I do expect the functionality to be rolled out in countries across the world (perhaps sooner than you expect for some countries)

The short summary;
The Process for Twitter Advertising;
1: Click the Settings Gear, Then Click 'Twitter Ads'
2: Read Through Twitter's Introduction to Twitter Ads
3: Review Your Campaign
So you can promote;
1.       Individual  Tweets
2.       Your Twitter Account

Twitter – reportedly testing Authentication Two Step Authentication as a result of recent events that transpired and a step to protect the privacy of Individuals and Brands as to whether or not this is going to be implemented there is uncertainty in terms of the time frame -
Instagram – Instagram added a new tagging feature on Thursday that could give brands increase brand awareness on the photo-based platform. Entitled "Photos of You," the functionality allows any Instagram user to tag any other Instagram account in their photos. This Functionality is a new way individuals can get involved with brands and showcasing their appreciation for the Brand/Organization in an online environment. "People can now add their favourite band to their concert photos from last night, the clothing brand they're currently wearing or the coffee roaster who brews their morning cup of coffee," the company said in their blog (http://business.instagram.com/blog/)

Kindest Regards
